Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man: In this classic, Abbott and Costello are police detectives are trying to help a boxer (Franz) who has been framed by a mobster. With the aid of invisibility formula things spin out of control. The special effects are high quality for the time. Bud Abbott, Lou Costello, Arthur Franz, Sheldon Leonard star in this film. (1951 Comedy-Sci-Fi)

History of the World: Numerous visitor megastars; depicted by Orson Welles. Scattershot comedy drifts from the Rock Age to Roman Kingdom to French Rebellion, distributing gags varying from humorous to detestable. Eventually propulsion's gone, and it all just fibs there, regardless of attempts of a big joke cast. Cast includes Mel Brooks, Gregory Hines, Dam DeLuise, Madeline Kahn, Harvey Korman, Cloris Leachman, Ron Carey, and Barry Levinson. (92 minutes, 1981)

After Dark My Sweet: A modern times film noir based on a Jim Thompson novel, that finds a drifter who finds himself involved with an attractive however disturbed lady, and her shyster buddy. Fascinating initially, although eventually you catch on that it's heading nowhere at 10 miles an hour. Cast includes Jason Patrie, Rachel Ward, Bruce Dem, George Dickerson, James Yarn, Rough Giordani, and Corey Carrier. (114 minutes, 1990)

Lunch Wagon Girls: Ball turns investigator in this melodrama, confronts weird characters and harrowing experiences when tracking killer; pretty excellent, with top cast. Cast includes Lucille Ball, Charles Coburn, Alan Mowbray, Cedric Hardwicke, Boris Karloff, and George Zucco. (95 minutes, 1968)

Slaughter: Stevens and Torn are far too high quality for this brutal action film where ex-Green Beret Brown who goes after the bad guys that had murdered his parents. Cast includes Jim Brown, Stella Stevens, Rip Torn, Don Gordon, Cameron Mitchell, Marlene Clark, and Robert Phillips. (92 minutes, 1972)

I Am Legend: Scientist Robert Neville (Will Smith) is the only man living in New York City who isn't infected. Everyone infected has become a mutated viscous creature. The sunlight is Robert's only safety, as he roams the city, and runs experiments at his lab, hoping to cure everyone of the infection. How long can he survive?
